Hayley Crittenden was born in La Grande (eastern Oregon), where many of her cousins and relatives still live. Her family moved to Portland and she was raised in Lake Oswego, where she graduated from Lakeridge High School in 1991.  Hayley attended the University of Oregon, GO DUCKS!, and was a member of Delta Gamma sorority. She moved around a lot after college graduation in 1995: Maui, Santa Fe, San Diego, Newport Beach, LA and finally San Francisco. She was gone for 9 years but came back to Portland about a year ago and is so happy to be back in the Pacific Northwest.

Hayley was Oregon's first contestant on the hit TV series "The Bachelor". She appeared in Season 2 (2002) competing for the love of bachelor Aaron Buerge. Hayley was "found" by an ABC casting associate while working at a clothing boutique near Los Angeles. She made it to the final 6 WITHOUT making out with him in the hot tub!

Hayley finally found true love in an old friend. She met her husband Mark Platt in London, England in 1995. They were friends for 8 years before they started dating. They married in 2006 in Sunriver, OR. (The ceremony was actually at the base of Mt. Bachelor on the "Bachelor Lawn" -- pretty ironic!).

Their daughter Miss Marley arrived in October of 2008.  Hayley has 3 younger brothers and a nephew, so when they found out she was having a baby girl Hayley was especially ecstatic since her life has been surrounded by boys! Inevitably, with all the males in both their families, Hayley and Mark knew their second child would be a boy. Sure enough, they welcomed Weston Charles in April 2011.

Hayley loves to travel. It doesn't even matter where she's going: Hawaii and Wallowa Lake make her equally happy! She enjoys meeting friends out for dinner/drinks and truly cherishes time with her girlfriends. She and Mark love to ski and get together with their dinner club friends, which they do once every couple months. Hayley also loves to read, she is an English major, afterall, although she doesn't have much time for reading these days. Mostly, Hayley is happiest when spending time with her family.
